Arrow Rockler Sawhorse Supports Preview

Rockler released a new system that adds stability to your standard, run-of-the-mill sawhorse. Their new patent-pending Sawhorse Supports are brackets made from steel which sit overtop a sawhorses to let you load up a couple 2x4 supports across the top brace pieces. You can use one or more Sawhorse Supports, and since they are length-independent, you can use nearly any length to make a solid and stable work table. You can also add a sheet of plywood across the top of the supports to really give you a tabletop for working. In this way, you can create a simple workspace with just a handful of 2x4 lumber. With the Sawhorse Supports, placing a sheet of plywood material across your sawhorses can be done without the inevitable sagging that results. Rockler's Sawhorse Supports alleviate the issue of sagging by providing supplemental support exactly where you need it, in the middle.

This might be cool, but the sawhorse is almost "meant" to be a very basic device (not to mention stackable and easily portable - so less is more). I suppose the worktable aspects of the supports is cool for making a quick table in a shop, but most guys would want something better. It seems to address a middle ground that I have yet to run into.
