Arrow Which Type of Water Heater is Best?

There are many different types of water heaters on the market, each which have their own strengths and weaknesses. Couple this with the presence of local and national rebates on energy savings and the decision to replace a water heater with a newer or different technology becomes a tad more difficult than just deciding on electric or gas. The newest "fad" (if we can call it that) is to install a tankless water heating system which provides on-demand hot water to either a whole house or a local tap or appliance. Analyzing the pros and cons of each technology will help you make the right decision.

With the rebates tankless is a no-brainer. In our city you do get money for the tank ones, too just not quite as much

That's from the gas company though

Instant gas is good but if you have to run on propane, I have to question the logic of it. In our area, propane is not really cheap but electric is and we don't have any piped natural gas. I think in some instaces and locations that sometimes a plain old 80 gal electric is still the way to go.

We're seeing a trend of people wanting these for new construction here, but gas whenever possible is the popular choice.

I had also experience in buying water heater for my home thatswhy I am suggesting you that tankless water heater is nice option. It provide hot water only as it is needed. It also provide hot water at a rate of 2 – 5 gallons (7.6 – 15.2 liters) per minute.

If you want you can find out more information on tankless water heater.
