Milwaukee M18 FUEL Brushless Tools Preview

Milwaukee is once again upping the ante with a brand new makeover of their power tools. The new M18 FUEL line is due beginning in the Spring of 2012 and features brushless motors in an exclusive line of extreme-performance cordless power tools. Brushless technology isn't new (we often see it in high-end impact drivers), but it is expensive... or at least it used to be. Milwaukee is claiming to have "cracked the nut" so-to-speak of how to manufacture their tools with brushless motors and price them very close to, if not at, their current line of M18 cordless drills and hammer drills. To pull all this off, Milwaukee is talking about how it has integrated three technologies together to make up the FUEL system: the PowerState brushless motor, their new RedLithium battery technology, and something called RedLink Plus Intelligence.
